Conduct the application of software tools and models to simulate multiphase/hydraulic flow for steady state flows.
.Develop project specifications and requirements for the Operations phase, taking into account discipline interfaces and the contributions of other disciplines.
Provide process engineering input into detailed design of new facilities and pipelines, aiming to minimize asset lifecycle cost and to maximize facility availability and operability.
Optimize process design, maximizing the product yield and economic performance of facilities whilst achieving HSE objectives based on the ALARP concept
Develop process control and safeguarding philosophies and hazardous area classification, and evaluate process hazards by providing input into HAZOPs, HAZIDs, QRA, IPF and similar reviews. Ensure that all these evaluations are documented.
Provide support as required in the application of de-bottlenecking techniques to optimize plant performance , and in the execution of reviews of existing facilities to maximize production and propose modifications required to meet production targets and comply with HSE policy
Identify, evaluate and propose innovative, cost saving technology and novel business solutions, in order to reduce the plant energy consumption.
Maintain frequent contact with other process engineers in other Locations, in order to keep abreast of new developments and technologies, disseminate best practices, and ensure synergy of production facilities, work practices and quality control systems.
Checks & Performs emergency safe shutdown of the plant in case of power failure, Instrument air failure, Equipment failure, Cooling water failure and steam failure. Restart the plant after maintenance jobs, normal shutdown & emergency shutdown
Follow up of preventing maintenance schedule & weekly change over schedule.
Identifying problems in equipments, which may cause interruption in smooth running of the plant & also raising a work order.
Knowledge of Types, Purpose and Operation of the following:
1. Fire tube boiler, auxiliary boiler, packaged boiler, steam drum internals, water column, gauge glass, blow downs (IBD, CBD), tricorks, dampers, super heater, economizers, dearactor ,air pre-heaters, turbines, pumps control valves (motorized, pneumatic and SOVetc)
