Goals And Objectives:
To ensure efficient and smooth running of plant equipment and all other facilities.
To reduce operations downtime within the department and ensure availability of spare parts and equipment.
To coordinate predictive and preventive maintenance.
To ensure strict compliance with health, safety and environmental procedures.
To train junior colleagues and keep track of related technology, spares and equipments.
To liaise with every other colleagues in other to ensure smooth functioning, “team work” .
Duties And Responsibilities:
Overseeing the production process, drawing up a production schedule;
Ensuring that the production is cost effective;
Making sure that products are produced on time and are of good quality;
Working out the human and material resources needed;
Drafting a timescale for the job;
Estimating costs and setting the quality standards;
Monitoring the production processes and adjusting schedules as needed;
Being responsible for the selection and maintenance of equipment;
Monitoring product standards and implementing quality-control programmes;
Liaising among different departments, e.g. Suppliers, managers;
Working with other colleagues to implement the company's policies and goals;
Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed;
Supervising and motivating a team of workers;
Reviewing worker performance;
Identifying training needs.
Provide advice in all aspects of normal and emergency plant maintenance requirements and procedures.
Provide technical support to maintenance and machine shop functions.
Oversee evaluation, installation, operation, maintenance and repair of any new or existing equipment.
Troubleshoot, repair, and modify existing equipment, identify cost reductions, process improvements, and improvements to efficiency of equipment in all plants.
Assist in corrective and preventative action resolutions.
Assist in addressing customer questions/deviations.
Participate in internal or customer drawing reviews.
Participate in field/shop inspection or troubleshooting activities.
Participate in applicable vendor or customer meetings.
