Duty Manager

Front Office Manager

  • Ensure that guests are allocated rooms efficiently and effectively
  • Ensure that all monies paid at the Front Office were accounted for and that frauds or tendencies to commit frauds were curtailed
  • Liaise with key departments like Housekeeping, Maintenance, F&B, Laundry by making sure that guests are given prompt but efficient service
  • To note all out of order rooms and liaise with key departments in order to restore them to sell-able position before guests are given such rooms

  • Ensure that staff reported promptly to duty
  • Take a record of staff attendance, note lateness to duty and absenteeism and report same to the GM
  • Do not permit or allow incidence of sleeping on duty by any staff during the Night shift
  • Go round the hotel premises during the night and make sure everything is in order
  • Issue items from the General Store to kitchen or F&B or Laundry as the case may be to make sure that guests requirements are met efficiently
  • Liaise with mobile policemen on duty and internal security personnel by ensuring that lives and properties are safe guarded.
  • Embark routine patrol to all nooks and crannies of the hotel to make sure that things are in order
  • Liaise with all key departments during the night to make sure guests get value for their money well spent
  • Discipline any erring staff by either taken personal responsibility or reporting such staff to Management
  • Report writing of all activities that take place during the night to the GM
  • Conveying guests to the airport by the hotel vehicle under special arrangement by Gm
  • Checking rooms and noting down out of order rooms and informing the key departments like Housekeeping and Maintenance to fix the faults immediately.

Security Supervisor
Rockview Hotel Apapa

  • Ensure that lives and properties within the hotel premises are safeguarded
  • All staff are subjected to searching when going out of the hotel except managers
  • Ensure goods are properly received both by security and the user department
  • Garbage removal was supervised by security officer.
  • Ensure that no armed men are allowed to go to floors or rooms with riffle
  • Ensure that all items owned by staff are logged as soon as they enter the hotel
  • Ensure all staff enter and go out through the staff gate
  • Ensure that no junior staff is allowed to receive visitor; in case of emergency, the message can be passed through the HR
  • Conduct muster parade on a daily basis and pass information to security staff on how best to manage their duty posts and beats well
  • Ensure that no pet is allowed into the hotel, for example, dog
  • Ensure that crossing bar at the main gate is not raised before collection of gate pass
  • Ensure that staff/contractors are not allowed to go out through the main gate
  • Commercial cyclist/okada are not allowed into the hotel premises
  • Ensure that no vehicle leaves or enters into the premises without gate pass
  • Urinating by the flower are not allowed
  • Ensure guests must be duly informed before their visitors must be allowed to enter their rooms
