i. To head and supervise the accounts department and ensure adequate accounting and financial management processes thereby reporting directly to the chief finance officer.
ii. Develop and maintain the company business plan and financial information for stakeholders in compliance with statutory requirements (eg. Tax, pension, CAMA and Accounting Standards)
iii. Preparation of financial reports and budget performance analysis
iv. Manage, coordinate and control the expenditure activities.
v. Ensure proper and timely inventory and cash management.
vi. Ensure timely review and reconciliation of company’s transaction with banks.
vii. Manage cordial working relationships with statutory agents i.e. Tax authorities, Bankers and External Auditors.
i. To head and manage the customer services and teller operations department reporting directly to the Branch Operations Manager.
ii. To ensure prompt and hitch free service delivery to customers especially the front desk during peak periods.
iii. To review and authorize transactions within applicable limit of N5m.
iv. To generate and review daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly and annual reports to facilitate the required returns to the zonal office.
v. To ensure compliance with the stated and set vault limit of N100m of the branch.
vi. To manage and ensure proper maintenance of the computer systems in the branch to provide weekly report to the MIS department at the Head Office.
vii. To assist the chief marketing officer in business development in other to retain the existing customers as well as exploring new market potentials.
i. To ensure that internal financial policies and procedures are strictly adhered with.
ii. To appraise the internal controls and internal checks of the company.
iii. To prepare a weekly, monthly and quarterly audit reports.
iv. To carry out a comprehensive and proper pre-audit on all daily financial transaction documents.
v. To take steps to rectify the negative observations applicable to the unit by the external auditors and submit a detailed report.
i. To ensure the proper management and accurate accounting record of the company’s fixed Assets in other to reconcile the Fixed Assets register with the GL and Physical verification report.
ii. Review, interpret and apply fixed assets policies, acquisitions, valuation, revaluation, accruals, transfers and disposal.
iii. Review CAPEX, purchases requisitions, CAPEX Budget with actual.
iv. Coordinate and prepare a monthly report on Trade payables Accounts and VAT payables nationwide.
v. Review, analyze and reconcile inter – regional accounts for WEST AFRICA
vi. Reconciliation of various Bank Accounts with the company’s GL.
vii. Supervision of receiving cashiers and timely data entry.
viii. To reconcile daily sales proceed with daily cash lodgments in the various banks.
ix. To assist the management Accountant in budget forecast inputs and preparation.
