 Ensure that the Company transportation system operates in a safe and efficient


 Develop and maintain fleet policies and procedures, updating, as well as recommending new practices for the management of the fleet Review and make recommendation on all elements of fleet management, vehicle selection, procurement, operations, maintenance, and disposal Assist in the development and leadership of short-and-long-range planning activities covering all aspects of fleet maintenance operations design

 Ensure performance of related vehicle / fleet administration such as updating vehicle registrations Maintain appropriate records, files and archives related to fleet operations and driver performance Prepare and distribute reports on program performance

 Routinely apprise Management about fleet performance and costs Make presentations and prepare reports for the Management and the Executive Leadership Team as requested Serve as resource to the HSE department on matters relating to vehicle operations and Safety

 Administer DOT mandated vehicle program to include driver licensing and periodic certification, log book requirements and compliance with all general requirements Monitor and keep records of each current company driver's state Motor Vehicle Record, reviewing such records periodically and as may be needed for

 Assures timely and assertive responses to inspection findings, working closely with Company Safety and DOT compliance managers Make periodic visits to vehicle bases to inspect, audit, conduct meetings and promote awareness and compliance with proper vehicle operation and maintenance procedures

 Perform justification and life cycle cost analyses and perform trend analyses for various vehicle performance and maintenance issues and related expenses

 Implement a fleet management information system (FMIS) project, for recordkeeping, analyses, evaluation and report generation for vehicle maintenance, repair history, operation metrics and life cycle decision making Implement and maintain the database for vehicles and prepare reports on mileage, fuel consumption, on regular basis (weekly, monthly and annually)

 Participate in the investigation of all vehicle accidents; follow-up on accident reports and repairs with corporate and local management

 Develop and secure management agreement to standard operating procedures for vehicle maintenance using known best practices

 Develop and analyze fleet maintenance metrics including overall cost per kilometer, maintenance cost per kilometer, life cycle replacement, tire life, and replacement schedule; Compare metrics with industry standards Evaluate and maintain warranty compliance to ensure maximum reimbursement and avoid unnecessary budget expense

 Manage supplier relationships and monitor contracts, negotiating with vendors to maximize cost efficiencies of the fleet operation

 Monitor routine maintenance scheduled with preferred outside vendors Maintain the fleet database with maintenance records, for analysis and monitoring of all maintenance, parts inventory, and associated costs Forecast, coordinate and track the allocation and maintenance of fleet Develop usage-based vehicle specifications and coordinate with Regional management for the recommendation and procurement of vehicles as well as vehicle additions and modifications

 Negotiate with vehicle sourcing as well as leasing agencies in advancing procurement

 Consolidate and leverage volume where practical to secure the sustainable total cost of ownership Perform financial justification and life cycle cost analysis on proposed vehicle acquisitions

 Initiate, analyze and implement new technologies, new programs, and improvement of procurement methods
