adidas: Herzogenaurach PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES This position is offered within the SAP Gap Year Program. What is the program about? The SAP Gap Year Program is a partnership between SAP and selected companies like adidas to offer bachelor’s degree graduates in IT-related fields a unique internship experience. Within the SAP Gap Year Program, you will have a chance to work at two companies on one focused topic. For more info about the program visit -and-graduates/gap-year-program.html . Your internship experience will consist of two consecutive internships, one at SAP and one at adidas. As part of SAP / adidas team, you will conduct research in various areas of store solution design. Your focus will be on retail back/front office and omnichannel functionality supported by products like SAP Customer Activity Repository, SAP Omnichannel Point-of-Sale by GK or SAP hybris Commerce. In parts working with the SAP team and the team at adidas, you will be able to participate in this project holistically, while delivering research to support the development of a seamless user experience and its continuous enhancements. You will specify, configure and test new functionality to improve the user and employee experience of the omnichannel platform in close collaboration with our cross-functional team. Combining latest back and front office solutions as well as state of the art analytics- and in-memory technology is our approach to develop the next generation omnichannel platform. You will work in a fast paced retail and omnichannel environment, which will require you to be passionate and flexible so as to tackle new and partially yet unknown problems as we continue to push forward in parallel with Retail and eCom business. EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS We are looking for an intern (bachelor's degree graduates) who can support our initiative, being able to drive the topics: Getting an understanding of end-2-end business processes in and around retail stores in connection with eCommerce and omnichannel area Working closely with process leads, technical experts and architects on both vendor and customer side Contributing to solution design by capturing and transferring business requirements Creating and aligning technical specifications (from functional request to functional spec) with stakeholders Take over smaller portions of implementation of customer demands by customizing systems
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Bachelor’s degree graduates (f/m) of a university or university of applied sciences (FH) Preferred fields of study: Computer science, (business) informatics, natural sciences, business studies Sound English skills - verbal and written, German skills would be a plus Strong communicator with the ability to work in a team, but also being able to work self-sufficient Ability to think innovative and be open for new trends Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with different international cultures Strong MS-Office skills Background and emphasis in Retail environment preferred
