As GM/COO, I develop and deliver the strategy and vision of Peniel MFB by providing the requisite leadership, and by building the culture necessary for the provision of its services. Other functions include;
Strategic Planning: Developing and delivering on clear strategy to ensure the profitability of the entire institution based on agreed time frame, along with the buy in and the cooperation of all team members and stake holders
Leadership and Networking: leading from the front to establish a strong corporate culture that permeates across the board and ensuring high standards of performance and successful realization of agreed upon objectives.
HR: Provide ongoing oversight to the HR department, developing and implementing sound and effective HR policies and their implementation and generating an environment of fair play and objectivity. Ensuring PMBL has a strong, reliable and honest work force with a strong buy in into the mission, vision and core values of the organization.
Policies: Designing, developing and delivering sound and effective management, HR, IT, Operational and Financial policies .Overseeing the review of policies on an ongoing basis in line with the board overall directives.
Board Participation: Participating in Board meetings and spearheading the implementation of the executive body and other related committees.
Regulatory Oversight: Ensuring all regulatory requirements as per the Micro Finance Operations are completed on time as per the regulators standards and ensuring the relationship with the regulator is sound and strong.
Business Banking: Developing and implementing a strong business model for ensuring growth of both assets and liabilities. Healthy credit management and sound deposits portfolio
with a clear focus on achieving cheap depositor mix, emphasizing on customer focused culture with the highest standards of customer care.
Marketing and Business Development: Developing, designing and implementing a sound and effective corporate branding strategy and ensuring its evolution and meeting challenges of the competitive environment in the sector. Reviewing and updating the portfolio of the products available in the light of the changing needs of the client and ensuring PMBL competitive advantage across markets and across the sector supporting the research function in the analysis for new products, innovations, competitors and market development and ensuring their incorporation in the strategic plans.
Credit & Risk Management: Undertaking and seeing to timely risk assessment, management of portfolio quality, regularly analyzing all credit related information, analyzing trends and developing and implementing sound credit management policies and procedures to attain a strong credit culture at all levels. Maintaining adequate loan loss reserves and reviewing prudential policies for the organization to ensure compliance with regulations. Establishing institution wide efficiency, productivity, profitability, accountability and transparency across the board.
InfoTech Management & Operations: Overseeing the design, development and deployment of a complete business solution deploying the best practices in the IT industry in the light of the growing needs of the organization along with developing a strategy for alternative delivery channels and formulating adequate operational polices.
