The candidate would be required to handle all recruitment processes from advertisement to placement of suitable candidates.
He is expected to prepare the induction programme for all new employees.
Must be abreast of manpower development and Training techniques.
Coordinate the job descriptions of all employees.
A sound knowledge of Industrial Relations and Personnel Management.
A good knowledge of the Nigerian Labour law.
Must be able to handle all union related issues.
Must be able to initiate and implement the Human
Resources policies of the company from time to time.
The coordination of the staff remuneration/Appraisal in line with the company policy.
The implementation of the company’s statutory obligations as it relates to the pension reform Act of 2004, Group Life Insurance, Industrial Training Funds, - Employees compensation Act of 2010, the staff medical schemes and any other statutory obligation (s) from time to time.
The compilation of staff data for Management decision making from time to time.
Administration of the staff attendance and payment of monthly salary.
The candidate would be required to perform any other functions given to him by his superiors from time to time.
Qualifications and Requirements:
B.Sc in Industrial Relations and Personnel Mgt/Business Administration. An MBA will be an added advantage.
Must be a professional member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria.
Maximum of 40 years.
Minimum of 10 years out of which at least 5-6 years must be in a large construction industry.
Good computer skills and experience of liaisoning with Government departments/agencies.
Must be smart and dynamic with capacity to work extended hours when the need arises.
