Responsible for the set up the legal department and the vendor re-validation unit of Rockson Engineering Company Limited. Responsible for the management of the Legal department and vendor management for the company. In this role she is responsible for liaison with third parties on legal matters, vetting of legal issues, contract documents and registration and revalidation of vendors for the company, attends the meetings of the Board of Directors of the company as well as other management committees meetings offering such necessary legal opinions and advice as required. In this role, vets documents, held documents under seal and maintain proper custody of the organization’s seal, Manage Board and Shareholder relationships and perform all secretarial and administrative duties of the organizations Board of Director.
Played major roles in the negotiations leading to the conclusion of the Kaduna Power Project valued at Euro 157 Million and a provisional sum of N3 Billion with General Electric (GE) for the government of Kaduna State as well as the claims and additional works arising from ongoing power projects at Alaoji, Abia State, Egbema, Gbarain at $332 Million and N12 Billion and the Trans Amadi, Port Harcourt valued at more than USD $ 800 million.
Major highlights includes the headship of the team responsible for the design and implementation of the Vendors Management System and Procedures for the company, legal advice during the negotiations leading to the contract award for the Kaduna Power Project and member of the design team offering contractual advice in Denver, Colorado USA during the critical design stage of the Kaduna IPP. Headship of the team that drafted the legal manual which was implemented and fundamental to the success of the Legal Department for the company during the MIS ISO 2008 audit.
Responsible for the Nigerian Content input for the tenders for Chevron Petroleum Limited for the Agura power project and the Mobil Producing Unlimited Company Nigeria for the Qua Iboe power project from the pre qualifications stages to post award.
In the role of vendor management lead, developed and manage a fit for purpose vendor data base that contributes to the effective management of business. This was achieved through setting up of the vendors management unit.
As cooperative president headed the management committee team to ensure that funds are invested and managed in a structured manner for the benefit of the members.
Assigned to the Information Technology (IT) contracts as the category manager. Responsible for the category management (Supply Chain) of the procurement process for IT for the Shell, Nigeria as well have direct responsibility for overseeing the procurement of contracts for IT (soft - and hard wares) of approximately USD$ 35million.
Senior Contracts Engineer, Engineering (Civil Infrastructure) Jul ’02 – Dec ‘04
Responsible for the procurement of the citadel security fencing system for the major immovable assets of Shell’s Western division which was valued at N1.17Billion. This included the security gate houses and security gates. Other civil engineering contracts are the construction of classroom blocks for the community schools in Shell’s area of operations - a Corporate Social Responsibility item.
In this role and in conjunction with the project engineers, we identified a number of local contractors who were encouraged with the school buildings projects and eight of the contractors have gone on to be major players in the oil and gas industry.
Also responsible for the collation, population and migration of engineering contracts into SAP system, creation/maintenance of purchase orders, creation of service entries and the release of contracts in the absence of the head of the department.
Senior Contracts Engineer (Catering and Facilities) Mar ‘99 – Jun ‘02
Following re-organization, I was assigned the role of senior contracts engineer with responsibility for the catering and house keeping services in the Western Division. Responsible for the long term contracts (3 years) worth over 1 Billion Naira and with estimated savings on the previous contracts worth 273.76 million Naira. A note acknowledging this feat was issued to me by the divisional management. The contractors ranged from the medium sized Godek Hotels Limited to international concerns such as Nicon-Hilton Hotels and Eko Hotels and Suites.
Team Lead, Management Information - Contracts Jan ’98 - Mar ‘99
On successful completion of the contract close-out assignment, I was nominated to lead a small core team responsible for the preparation and dissemination of management information for the contracting and procurement department in the western division. In this role the I oversaw the collation of relevant data, analysis of same and timely dissemination to the various sections in the department. My section was also responsible for the preparation of management information and presentation materials for the department for the Chief Executive Quarterly Reviews (CEQR) chaired by the Managing director.
Team Leader, Close out team (Production Department) Mar ‘97 – Dec ’97
Assigned to the Production Contracts and tasked with the design and implementation of a procedure for the close-out of completed services and works which hitherto constituted avenues for claims and counter claims from the contractors. Accomplishments in this role included:

Recruited as a contracts analyst/engineer and deployed to the Human Resources Business Support department. In this role the I was responsible for the preparation and review of tender documents, attendance at negotiations with suppliers and contractors, contract administration audits, and review of claims from the contractors
At conclusion of the compulsory National Youth Service assignment at Shell Petroleum Development Company with the Contracting unit of Transport Dept,
I opted for legal practice and was in the chambers of the B. Eyitene and Co, where my responsibilities are as follows;
Preparion of legal briefs and court documents as well as attendance in court as counsel.
