Responsible to manage annual operating budget approximately USD $ 45 millions per annual,Direct Subordinates 3 Superintendents with 350 employees (consist of 5 workshops : 2 x HD Workshop include lube shops, 2 x Tire Shop and 1 x Ancillary Shop), equipments: 550 units heavy equipments and 250 units small equipments.Develop Heavy Duty Maintenance team to achieve targeted maintenance goals safely in order to ensure maintenance practices are performed in line with standard recognized procedures and comply with all relevant policies and regulations and implement Quality Management principles. Prepare maintenance long & short term plans, budget and action plan in line with company policy and superior guidance. Develop manpower plan, promotions, transfers and succession planning of the work force.

The key duties and responsibilities of Maintenance Engineering Deparment Head:

Develop Heavy Duty Maintenance team to achieve targeted maintenance goals safely in order to ensure maintenance practices are performed in line with standard recognized procedures and comply with all relevant policies and regulations and implement Quality Management Principles.

Prepare maintenance long & short term plans, budget and action plan in line with company policy and superior guidance.

Develop manpower plan, promotions, transfers and succession planning of the work force.

Socialize policies and procedures; SHE accountabilities, NOSA principles, CLA and other company regulations to each subordinate in order to ensure that all employees are aware and implementing them properly as to achieve its goal

Conduct monthly SHE meeting and weekly inspection in order to identify hazard and enforce safety regulations to maintain employee safety awareness and safe & tidy working place.

Provide all subordinates with effective information such as OEM documentation or Standard

Work Procedures to allow them to complete their roles as safely, efficiently and effectively and proactively identify tasks requiring further documentary support and assist in the development of such information.

Monitor tasks under responsibility as to continuous improvement through decreasing and stabilizing maintenance cycle times by closely working with planning and other relevant support teams.

Communicate effectively with all subordinates as well as other relevant staff to ensure clear communication channel within the group as well as to other departments as required which includes communication of the companies’ goals as well as current performance progress.

Develop budget and ensure budgetary goals are socialized to all subordinates to ensure that are implemented and maintenance teams are contributed to achieve its goals.

Develop KRA & KPI for each subordinate to ensure that each employee can contribute to his maximum potential and as a part of Staff Development Strategy.

Develop capable team members to be able to lead the Team in the absence of their superior and also and learn and understand the role of the superior as to be able to fill the role of superior on temporary or permanent basis.

Ensure that all direct subordinates are actively involved in improvement programs conducted in conjunction with Vendors/OEMS as well as with Technical Advisors.

Ensure adequate tooling and facilities, including all safety and consumable equipment are available and utilized to allow subordinates to complete their work in a safe and timely manner.

Ensure production support and ancillary fleets are maintained to provide a high and reliable availability to support operation production.

Monitor and control spare part requests, direct charge, air freight and warehouse stock requests to ensure the stock of parts at optimum level.

Conduct assessment of Heavy Equipment condition in order to provide information as basis for further management decision.

Develop a plan of heavy equipment rebuild program for one year ahead.

Manage rebuild, conversion and modification of selected heavy equipment in order to ensure these are well performed in line with standard OEM, vendors’ recommendation and company objectives and policies.

Liaise and communicate with all related vendors in order to obtain their support in performing maintenance activities.

Direct, guide and control; the heavy duties equipment rebuild and maintenance activities, generators unit which placed in public area, fabricating hydraulic hoses which carried out by assigned contractors in order to ensure that the quality of heavy equipment rebuilt or maintained are in line with standard OEM and approved budget. Manage assigned fuel stations operation and fuel distribution in order to ensure that fuel services is performed properly and safely in line with all prevailing regulation

Foster good relationships with planning and other relevant support teams to ensure scheduling tasks can be completed safely within the allotted time and to acceptable maintenance standards.
