The project is seeking to recruit a trainee for the IT / MIS department.
Under the overall guidance and direct supervision of the Head of Unit for IT the trainee is expected to rigorously complete the full Trainee-Program and acquire the relevant certifications.
The Trainee is expected to work in close collaboration with all the operation units of LAPO MFB within the prescribed timeframe and to support project delivery in areas and functions assigned.
Target of trainings
Next to the intensive academic trainings on general management, inputs on LAPO culture, strategy, structure and systems as well as on-the-job project management capacity building, the focus of professional training is to serve the following future responsibilities:
To be proactive in information security, system/application management, team building and accurate reporting for the use of Departments/Units, Executive Management, Donors, Auditors and Regulatory Bodies

Supervise and coordinate the activities of designated IT Staff
Timely Preparations of Management Reports
Efficient Support of Core Banking System to End Users
Ability to Manage Users on the Bank’s Network
Ability to Update Bank’s Website

Implementation of Bank’s IT Policy
Database Management and Maintenance
Handling Bank’s Transactions Administrations
Handling End of Days Transactions
Documentations of Work Functions
Desktop Support Management
Perform other duties and responsibilities, as may be assigned by the Head, Information Technology
Support of production database services to ensure the highest standards of availability, resilience, integrity, security and performance required by our business systems
Required to deal with complex data models and object relational database mapping, while producing complex reports
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Due to the dynamic nature of the bank operations and growth rate, self-motivation and the ability to learn quickly are essential.
Experience in working within IT infrastructure and web technologies. Need to demonstrate a strong understanding and working knowledge of integrating web technologies, networking, database applications and security.
Experience of working with multiple projects/tasks and the ability to prioritize task.
Experience of supporting multiple teams within a business
At least University Degree in Computer Science or Information System or Electrical Electronics Engineering or any related discipline
