Supported with project planning and definition in MSF Spain’s Public Health and then Sexual and Reproductive Health Project in Makoko and Apapa Lagos State.
Assisted the field coordinator with administrative aspects of project management (authorizations, agreements, local procedures, etc) and ensured the smooth running of the project
Participated actively in emergency response at field level, contributing to assessments and activating and maintaining a functional contact network.
Participated in the monitoring and evaluation of project performance and reorientation for the achievement of medical objectives, including surveys, analysis of medical indicators and evaluation.
Have ensured the continuity of relationships between MSF; Spain and local actors / Authorities and partners and kept an updated list of contacts,
Accompany or represent the field coordinator at meetings or professional appointments and translated discuss in such events both to and from the local language spoken (some times Yoruba).
Carried out a periodical analysis on the humanitarian situation in the project areas to suggest appropriate responses to the needs of the populations.
Contribute to the development of reports and other written materials for use in internal and external communication.
Regularly updated key project working documents related to the context and security (maps, situation reports, news digests, Weekly Incident Report (WIR), context report for monthly sitrep, stakeholder analysis, contact lists and other networking tools, etc.)
Participate in inductions and briefings for incoming national and international staff and visitors; including the development of written materials used in these inductions / briefings and trainings
Participate in investigations and behavior committees in relations to staff conducts or misconducts, under strict confidentiality
Participate in the updating of the project security guidelines in line with the organization’s general Security Policy and Management Manual.
When required by the organization, collaborated with local security actors to resolve issues.
Promoted MSF principles, internally and externally, and broadened the visibility of the organization.
