Responsible for procurement management function that ensures that quality standard materials are purchased at the right time, from the right source at very cost saving & effective prices.
Provide procurement support during project bidding (ITT) including initiating contacts with Govt. Agencies like NAPIMS, NPDC, NNPC on related Project status.
Support prior and post reviews of all related project procurement specifications, documentations, and clarification reports as required.
Prepare procurement policy guidelines and contract procedures for all EPC engineering projects.
Supports all project (EPC) management teams in developing project execution plans and guidelines especially as it relates procurement deliverables and scheduling.
Review and ensure efficiency in the company supply chain management process and reporting system.
Initiate negotiation with lead vendors/suppliers including advising on contract/agreement framework for major vendors and sub-contractors.
Interpret and resolve contract issues with vendors/sub-contractors and handle questions/ complaints from them relating to contract execution performance including change orders.
Provide guidance and monitoring to ensure compliance with company procurement policies and plan.
Provide procurement advisory to engineering design team relating economics of oil and gas equipment and materials to achieve the right mix of specification selection for cost effectiveness.
Oversee tendering, analysis, selection and approval of all contract orders for EPC projects.
Managing vendor relationships and review of vendors contract performance in meeting due processes and government Local content requirements.
Review vendors equipment Inspection test plan (ITP) & ensure necessary conformances.
Monitor all logistics, shipping and Custom clearance activities to ensure reliable deliverability.
Handle procurement-related complaints and procurement staff abuse cases relating to fraud and corruption in contracting process.
Compile procurement budget requirements for management approval and manage CAPEX/OPEX budgets on a day to day basis.
Liaise with Accounts Department to ensure accurate and timely payment of for equipment & materials.
Prepare internal quarterly report and provide status of all supply chain activities to company Board of Directors.
Initiate Sourcing for all oil & gas equipment and materials procurement.
Motivate & manage staff to achieve company set targets through functional training initiatives.
Develop and manage budgets for procurements activities
Compile and analyze procurement bids and support engineering tenders
Ensure compliance on equipment & material data documentations
Highlight procurement profitability on equipment /material basis
In-charge of project logistics and procurement expediting activities.
Review purchase request and issue approved purchase orders to vendors.
Approve all vendor surveillance and report and handle all request for quotes
Negotiate order payment terms and resolve contract issues with vendors
Take proactive steps to ensure delivery of quality materials or equipment as specified.
Oversee training assessment and engineering technology transfer initiatives.
Review & advise on new technology initiatives usage in Nigeria especially as it relates to the required agency agreements with OEM/Foreign companies to build such capacity development.
To coordinate and support the company sales team through effective marketing of company capability.
To source for new products, projects and foreign partnerships and provide the needed information linkages and interaction for a successful business in Nigeria.
Study government policies and advise on how it affects overall business operation and growth of our organization and its relationship with clients.
Develop a blueprint to facilitate the improvement of Nigeria Content Plan and participation.
