Effective preparation of students for sound specialist education in Peace Studies and
Conflict Resolution programme of the School of Arts and Social Sciences, transfer of
factual knowledge and general preparation in courses that equip students with
knowledge and skills needed for programme specialisation, in the light of a successful
combination of hard facts and soft skills and their transformation into practical tools for
Introduction to, and tutorial on, major issues, themes and theories that will make Peace
Studies and Conflict Resolution well-understood, result-oriented and efficacious. Provides a broader view of issues that are germane to Peace Studies, including the right attitude and techniques necessary for efficient Conflict Resolution, among other academic programmes in other schools of the University.
Institutional relations, media and public affairs consultancy and publications on various
issues related to Africa and its people, reflecting different facets of the continent, as well as its position in international fora. Also provides information to client groups and the general-public, while also promoting greater awareness on environmental issues.
The topical issues of publications cover the most complete information that best meet
inter-sector needs in various stages of progress. These include analysis of budgetary,
environmental and other challenges facing industrial and developing economies, as well as countries in transition.
As always, policymakers, public opinion-moulders, officials, diplomats, intellectuals,
economists, investors, financiers, scholars and the society, at large, need these indepth, accurate and dateless information and reports for reference points.
Primary responsibilities entailed the strategic planning and coordination for Organization’s development; media affairs and public activities. These include writing, editing and review of projects programmatic and technical documents for accuracy, technical quality, consistency and completeness. Also, provide required assistance to collaborating Organizations / Institutions, agencies and other corporate icons, including meetings and events with key audiences, etc.
