Safety officer/ engineer
Conducts toolbox meeting at site every morning before commencement of activities.
Ensure compliance to all safety rules and regulations.
Conduct induction for old and new staff to create safety awareness.
Ensure that all employees comply with all relevant legal safety requirements at site.
Work to eliminate unsafe practices and avoid use of faulty equipment.
Handle marine journey management.
Communicate changes in safety and environmental legislation with the management.
Identify unsafe acts, conditions and hazards, investigate root causes and identify corrective and preventive measures and report to the management.
Co-ordinate and conduct inspection/audit of facilities and activities to ensure compliance to safe and good work practices in accordance to statutory requirement of the factories and all safety procedures.
Conduct at least two evacuation exercise per year to ensure that all staff become familiar with the safety procedures.
Conducts welding procedure qualification test.
Handle pipeline welding inspection at site.
Ensures that pipeline welding at site follows the given welding procedure record and standard.
Coordinate all site inspections with the site subcontractors.
Review all inspection reports for compliance.
Assist the site QC manager in the organization, maintenance and control of the quality system.
Coordinate with the customers QC inspectors for the resolution of site problems.
