o Monitor & analyze the WCDMA Radio Network Statistics on a Daily basis
o Carrying out 3G Drive test and Analyzing the log file to find out problem areas of the network, layer 3 message analysis, sorting out Coverage, Interference, Pilot Pollution, Hand-over problems, Call Drop.
o Regularly Optimize BSCs, worst performing Cells, hotspots and VIP areas
o Tune parameters and Exchange properties of advanced radio features to achieve optimal radio network performance. Features include- HCS, Power control, locating, MAIO management, Overlaid/Under laid cell structures, X-range, Cell Load Sharing, DTX
o Manage Available Spectrum and Prepare frequency plans based on capacity requirements- MRP, MAIO Management: 1x1 and 1x3 reuse
o Perform Traffic balancing of cells: co-located cells, dual band (900/1800 MHz) cells, and micro and macro cells.
o Prepare Reports and Presentations to management on Radio coverage update, Sites planning progress and Radio network performance
o Perform Drive tests using TEMS Investigation and Neptune for network coverage and quality optimization, detect interference source , sector swaps, incorrect parameters, troubleshooting customer complaint areas
o Dimensioning and Design radio network using Aircom Enterprise ASSET: design BTS and Antenna configuration, perform coverage and Interference predictions.
o Evaluate Candidate sites and carry out site surveys
o Survey and design Indoor coverage solutions
o Create CDD (Cell Design Data) for new site activation
o Monitor Statistic performance of sites using Optima , KPI Monitoring and analysis, such as: SDCCH Drop Rate, TCH Drop Rate, SDCCH and TCH assignment failures, Hand over Success Rate, Erlang Minute per Drop, TCH Congestion Rate, and SDCCH Congestion Rate.
o Trace external interference sources using Spectrum analyzer
o Automatic Frequency Plan using ILSA
o Monitor network performance and configuration to ensure conformance with KPIs across MTN Operation regions.
o Support the Field support team in the regions with high level network problem solving, technical solutions.
o Support the Special Projects team with technology research and network value added coverage and capacity solutions.
o Inter department collaboration / interface with other Network
