- I was a key part of everything that Amni was doing from the time of my employment in 1996 to 2000 when it became necessary due to expansion and more crucially, as reward for my contributions to the company’s growth and phenomenal success, to promote me to the position of Assistant General Manager Operations.
- I was posted permanently to our Port Harcourt office where we had our main office, including the offshore facilities. My duties were to deepen the processes I had established earlier, manage the necessary increase in staff and operations personnel and act as the base manager on the ground in Port Harcourt and on the offshore facilities.
- At this time also, due to the increased activities of the oil militants and the serious political dimensions of the oil business in the Niger Delta, I was appointed as Amni’s Liaison Officer with government at all levels (including with NNPC, DPR/ Ministry of Environment) and to take of care of host communities.
