POSITION: General Manager, Events & Operations.
I had the obligation in my capacity as the General Manager Events & Operations to maintain a Grade A event Centre and event management by providing effective leadership and management skills to the growth of the organization.
I had the overall responsibility to:
-Development, production and delivery of projects from proposal right up to delivery.
-Organize and delivering of events at various locations timeously and within budget
-Setting, communicating and maintaining timelines and priorities on every project
-Communicating, maintaining and developing client relationships
-Managing supplier relationships
-Managing operational and administrative functions to ensure specific projects are delivered efficiently
-Providing leadership, motivation, direction and support to your team
-Travelling to on site inspections and project managing events
-Being responsible for all project budgets from start to finish.
-Ensuring excellent customer service and quality delivery
-Ensure utmost client satisfaction at all times
-Clean, keep, repair, redecorate ,renew, paint, maintain the Marquee
-Tend and keep tidy and to plant such flora as appropriate to the areas
-Supply, maintain, renew and repair fire fittings equipment in the Event Centre
-Ensure the provision of a consistent supply off water to the Event Centre
-Maintain, clear and dislodge the septic tank as required
-Run periodic inspect service , maintain all apparatus, plant, machinery, Generators, Air cool systems etc
-Provide security arrangements as may be deemed necessary to protect the Event Center vandalism, theft, damage or unlawful occupation within and during events.
-Ensure compliance with the event Centre policy and meet acceptable standards which shall be in line with the best industry standards
-Promote and secure bookings for the Event Centre
-Maintain asset register including equipment, fixtures and fittings etc
