Experience:  To plan, direct and co-ordinate the operation of the good vehicle fleet.  To lead and manage staff within the Fleet Department including dealing with grievance, disciplinary, capability and absence issues  Ensure that the fleet complies with current legal requirements.  To review & report scores regularly and correlate maintenance failures and driver infringements to score; thereafter to act to correct.  Ensure that vehicles are maintained in optimum condition from delivery to disposal in order to comply with legislation.  To ensure cost effective maintenance operations focusing on obtaining maximum fleet availability and legal compliance.  Continually review and audit the quality of maintenance supplied by external service suppliers, correcting where necessary whilst highlight key issues to senior management.  To ensure operating centre’s do not breach margins for vehicles.  To monitor & report MOT pass rates and proactively respond to any MOT failures.  To be responsible for the specification in line with operational needs of new fleet and disposal of redundant vehicles.  To advise the operation on the correct operation of vehicles.  Ability to encourage, motivate and direct others to achieve Company goals.  To make an adequate quick respond and process the repair claim through MTNN internal Insurance unit for the vehicles that involved in an accident/incident.  To oversee fleet vehicles related issue across the nation.  Following up with MTNN Insurance unit for approval of repairs for all related vehicles in which claims has been registered with insurance upon completion of insurance claim form and estimate of repairs.  To file the processing claim forms accordingly to assist Insurance auditing team once requested.  To liaise with government agencies such as FRSC, VIO, LASTMA, NPF etc on the release of MTN vehicles which have committed/arrest for related by government agencies.  File the copy of acknowledged payment paid to various garages on the repair of accidental vehicles etc.  To review the preceding accident reports submitted by drivers, vehicle assignee and security and dept and refer necessary cases to Accident Review Committee for review.  To create a new thinking in the minds of staff/contractor in their attitude towards the use of company’s assets.  To ensure that staff/contractors take responsibility of whatever company’s asset in their possession.  An investigative sitting and not a disciplinary committee, whose main interest is to bring out all necessary facts, provide a detailed report of the incidence and make recommendations.  The report of the panel will go to National Accident Review Committee for further deliberation etc.  Oversees the regular and preventive maintenance of a company's fleet equipment and has supervisory authority over skilled fleet mechanics.  Qualify and quantify information from Fleet sources, such as helpdesk, dispatchers, drivers, employee data sources, and other personnel information in support of compliance obligations.  Develop logs and maintain necessary record of reports and other documents that are received and distributed through the business..  Perform complex data analysis to support ad-hoc and standing customer requests.  Develop a live database for the business to incorporate acquisition and retention of vehicles in the MTNN fleet.  Manage Fleet Management System Applications.  Compile and prepare a periodic report of fleet activities as required.
